Zombie Detective
Zombie Detective (Korean: 좀비탐정) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from September 21 to October 27, 2020. The series, directed by Shim Jae-Hyun and written by Baek Eun-Jin, blends elements of comedy, mystery, and supernatural fiction.
Plot
The story follows Kim Moo-Young, portrayed by Choi Jin-Hyuk, who has been a zombie for two years. Having spent time mimicking human behavior in a rural village, he eventually moves to the city to start a new life. Lacking memories of his life prior to his transformation, he establishes a private detective agency in an attempt to integrate into human society and uncover his past.
His path crosses with Kong Sun-Ji, played by Park Ju-Hyun, a former writer for a current affairs program. After a witness she was investigating is attacked, she leaves her job and eventually begins working part-time at Kim Moo-Young's agency, becoming entangled in his search for the truth.
Production
The series aired in the Monday and Tuesday 21:30 time slot on KBS2. It followed the conclusion of Men are Men and was succeeded by Royal Secret Agent in December 2020.
