Zo In-Sung

Zo In-Sung (born July 28, 1981) is a prominent South Korean actor. He is recognized for his extensive work in both television dramas and feature films, having established a career that spans over two decades.

Career

Zo began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1990s. He gained early recognition for his roles in television series such as School 3 (2000) and Piano (2001). Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, he became a fixture in South Korean media, appearing in critically and commercially successful projects including Memories of Bali (2004), A Dirty Carnival (2006), and That Winter, The Wind Blows (2013).

In 2023, he appeared in the Disney+ series Moving, portraying the character Kim Doo-Sik. His filmography also includes notable performances in The King (2017), The Great Battle (2018), Escape from Mogadishu (2021), and Smugglers (2023).

Personal Life and Military Service

Zo In-Sung attended Dongguk University. Regarding his name, while the Korean family name "조" is typically romanized as "Jo," the actor uses the spelling "Zo."

In accordance with South Korean law, Zo fulfilled his mandatory military service. He enlisted on April 6, 2009, and was discharged on May 4, 2011.

Zo has received numerous accolades throughout his career. Notably, he was awarded Best Supporting Actor and the Popularity Award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2023 for his performance in Smugglers. He has also been recognized multiple times at the SBS Drama Awards for his contributions to television.
