Yuu Shirota

Yuu Shirota (born December 26, 1985) is a Japanese-Spanish actor and singer. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he is of mixed heritage, with a Spanish mother and a Japanese father.

Early Life and Education

Shirota attended Horikoshi High School in Tokyo, an institution notable for educating numerous Japanese entertainers. During his time at Horikoshi High School, his classmates included fellow actors and musicians Tomohisa Yamashita and Teppei Koike.

Acting Career

Active in both television and film, Shirota has appeared in numerous Japanese drama series and cinematic releases. His film credits include roles in productions such as The Prince of Tennis (2006), Rookies (2009), Ajin: Demi-Human (2017), and New Interpretation Records of the Three Kingdoms (2020). On television, he has taken on roles in various serial dramas, including appearances in Hana-Kimi (2007), GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (2012), and Tokyo MER: Mobile Emergency Room (2021).
