Yumi's Cells (South Korean Television Series)

Yumi's Cells (Korean: 유미의 세포들; Revised romanization: Yumiui Sepodeul) is a South Korean television drama series that originally aired on the cable network tvN and the streaming platform TVING in 2021.[4] The series is based on the Naver webcomic of the same name created by Lee Dong-Gun, which was serialized from April 1, 2015, to November 13, 2020.[2]

Production and Background

The 14-episode drama was directed by Lee Sang-Yeob and featured scripts co-written by Song Jae-Jung, Kim Yoon-Joo, and Kim Kyung-Ran.[4] It broadcast its episodes on Fridays and Saturdays at 22:50, running from September 17 to October 30, 2021.[4] Upon concluding its broadcast run, it was followed by the drama Happiness on November 5, 2021.[1]

Cast and Characters

The series stars Kim Go-Eun in the lead role as Kim Yu-Mi, an ordinary single working woman who struggles with expressing her feelings.[4] Ahn Bo-Hyun stars alongside her as Ku Woong.[4]
