Yoshitatsu Yamada

Yoshitatsu Yamada (Japanese: 山田能龍) is a Japanese screenwriter and television director born on April 8, 1976.

Career

Yamada has contributed as a screenwriter and director across numerous Japanese television series and cinematic releases. His notable writing credits span streaming platforms and traditional broadcast networks, including work on high-profile Netflix series such as The Naked Director (2019), The Journalist (2022), and He's Expecting (2022).

In addition to his prolific work in television drama series—such as Million Yen Women (2017), Get Ready (2023), and Ignite (2025)—Yamada has expanded into feature films, writing screenplays for productions like Life of Mariko in Kabukicho (2023) and Kuchinai Sakura (2024). He also made his directorial debut with the WOWOW series Imadoki no Wakaimon wa in 2022.
