Work Later, Drink Now (Korean: 술꾼도시여자들; RR: Soolkkundoshiyeojadeul) is a South Korean television series that centers on the lives and friendships of three women in their 30s who share a common ritual of meeting for drinks after finishing their workdays. The series explores their professional challenges, personal struggles, and the enduring nature of their bond.

Premise and Characters

The story follows three central characters, each navigating different career paths:

• An So-Hee (played by Lee Sun-Bin), a television broadcasting writer.
• Han Ji-Yeon (played by Han Sun-Hwa), a yoga instructor.
• Kang Ji-Gu (played by Jung Eun-Ji), a YouTuber.

The trio frequently interacts with Kang Buk-Gu (played by Choi Si-Won), a television variety show producer, who becomes a recurring figure in their social circle.

Production and Release

The series is based on the webcomic Soolkkundoshicheonyeodeul by Mikkang, which was serialized on Daum from April 29, 2014, to March 17, 2017. The television adaptation was directed by Kim Jung-Sik with a screenplay by Wi So-Young.

The first season premiered on the streaming platform TVING on October 22, 2021, and concluded on November 26, 2021. It was later broadcast on the cable network tvN starting February 3, 2022, taking over the Wednesday and Thursday 22:30 time slot.

Following the success of the first season, a sequel titled Work Later, Drink Now 2 was produced and released on TVING, covering the 2022–2023 period.
