Work Later, Drink Now 2 is a South Korean television series that aired on the streaming platform TVING. It serves as the second season of the drama series Work Later, Drink Now, which explores the lives and enduring friendships of three women who frequently gather to drink together after finishing their daily work.

Production and Background

The series is based on the webcomic Soolkkundoshicheonyeodeul, written by Mikkang, which was serialized on Daum between April 29, 2014, and March 17, 2017. The second season was directed by Park Soo-Won with a screenplay by Wi So-Young. The show consists of 12 episodes and was released from December 9, 2022, to January 13, 2023.

Plot

The narrative continues the story of the three main characters: An So-Hee, Han Ji-Yeon, and Kang Ji-Gu. When Han Ji-Yeon faces a medical crisis requiring chemotherapy, she decides to embark on a trip. Her friends, An So-Hee and Kang Ji-Gu, locate her and choose to put their own lives on hold to support her, leading them on an extended healing journey in the mountains. Upon returning to their daily lives, the women navigate new professional and personal challenges—An So-Hee returns to her role at TVING, Han Ji-Yeon finds work at a yoga studio, and Kang Ji-Gu takes a delivery job—before consistently reuniting to share stories over drinks.
