Wonjeong Villa (2024 Film)

Wonjeong Villa (Korean: 원정빌라) is a 2024 South Korean horror film directed and written by Kim Seon-Kook. The film premiered at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) on July 6, 2024, and received a theatrical release in South Korea on December 4, 2024.

Plot

The story follows Joo-Hyeon, a bank security guard living in an aging apartment complex known as Wonjeong Villa. He balances his professional duties with the care of his sick mother and his nephew, while simultaneously preparing for a real estate agent certification exam. His life is disrupted by his neighbor, Shin-Hye, who lives in the unit above him. Seeking petty retribution for her perceived rudeness, Joo-Hyeon leaves a flyer for a pseudo-religious organization in her mailbox. This act triggers a series of dangerous events as Shin-Hye becomes deeply involved with the group, eventually endangering the residents of the entire building.
