Wonderful Ghost (2018 Film)

Wonderful Ghost (Korean: 원더풀 고스트), also known internationally as The Soul-Mate, is a 2018 South Korean comedy-drama film directed by Jo Won-Hee. The film blends elements of fantasy, crime, and comedy.

Plot

The story follows Jang-Soo (Ma Dong-Seok), a judo gym owner who intentionally avoids getting involved in matters of injustice. His life changes when he is haunted by the ghost of Tae-Jin (Kim Young-Kwang), a dedicated police officer. Through this supernatural connection, Jang-Soo is drawn into a criminal case that forces him to engage with the world around him.

Production

The film was produced by Kim Sung-Jin, with a screenplay written by Kim Sung-Jin and Bae Se-Young. Principal photography for the project commenced on August 10, 2016, and concluded on October 10, 2016. During its development phase, the film was known by the working title Wonderful Life.
