Wok of Love
Wok of Love (Korean: 기름진 멜로; RR: Gireumjin Mello) is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from May 7 to July 17, 2018. The romantic comedy-drama focuses on the lives of three individuals whose paths cross at a struggling Chinese restaurant.

Plot
The story follows Seo Poong (Lee Joon-Ho), a talented chef who loses his prestigious position at a hotel's Chinese restaurant after being framed by the hotel's CEO. Seeking revenge, he takes over a failing Chinese restaurant located directly across the street from the hotel. The restaurant is owned by Doo Chil-Seong (Jang Hyuk), a former loan shark. They are joined by Dan Sae-Woo (Jung Ryeo-Won), a woman from a wealthy background whose life takes a sudden turn when her father is arrested on her wedding day, leading to the cancellation of her nuptials. Together, the trio attempts to revitalize the restaurant and compete with the hotel establishment.
Production
The series was directed by Park Sun-Ho and Ham Joon-Ho, with the screenplay written by Seo Sook-Hyang. The first script reading took place in March 2018. The show was originally scheduled for 40 episodes but was shortened to 38 episodes due to broadcast delays caused by major news coverage, including the 2018 Singapore summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
