Witch's Romance
Witch's Romance (Korean: 마녀의 연애; RR: Manyeoui Yeonae) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2014. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Monday and Tuesday nights at 23:00. It is a remake of the 2009 Taiwanese drama series Queen of No Marriage.
Plot
The story focuses on the relationship between Ban Ji-Yeon, a 39-year-old investigative reporter, and Yoon Dong-Ha, a 25-year-old man who runs a small errand service. Ban Ji-Yeon is known for her intense dedication to her work, earning her the nickname "witch" among her colleagues. She remains skeptical of true love following the disappearance of her fiancé, No Shi-Hoon, shortly before their scheduled wedding. Yoon Dong-Ha, despite his cheerful demeanor, carries his own emotional burden after the loss of his girlfriend in an accident.
Production
The series was directed by Lee Jung-Hyo, with a script written by Lee Sun-Jung and Ban Ki-Ri. The first script reading for the production was held on March 5, 2014, at the CJ E&M Center in the Sangam neighborhood of Seoul, South Korea. The series premiered on April 14, 2014, and concluded on June 10, 2014. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 23:00 time slot on tvN, following In Need of Romance 3 and preceding High School King of Savvy.
