Witch at Court

Witch at Court (Korean: 마녀의 법정; RR: Manyeoui Bubjung) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from October 9 to November 28, 2017. The series, directed by Kim Young-Kyoon and written by Jung Do-Yoon, consists of 16 episodes and focuses on the professional and personal lives of prosecutors working within a specialized division dedicated to sex crimes.

Plot

The narrative centers on Ma Yi-Deum, a prosecutor with seven years of experience who is known for employing aggressive and sometimes unconventional methods to secure convictions. Her career takes a turn when she is transferred to a special unit tasked with handling sex crimes, where she must navigate complex cases and institutional challenges.

Production

The series was originally developed under the working title Geunyeoreul Mitji Maseyo (Don't Believe Her). The production held its first script reading on September 5, 2017, at the KBS Building in Yeouido, Seoul. The drama occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot on KBS2, following the conclusion of Girls' Generation 1979 and preceding the premiere of Jugglers on December 4, 2017.
