Will You Be There? (Korean: 당신 거기 있어줄래요; RR: Dangshin Geogi Iteojoorraeyo) is a 2016 South Korean fantasy drama film directed by Hong Ji-young. The film is based on the 2006 French novel Seras-tu là? by author Guillaume Musso.
Plot
The narrative follows a surgeon who, facing a terminal illness, receives ten mysterious pills that grant him the ability to travel back in time. He uses these opportunities to return to the past, where he encounters his younger self. His primary motivation is to alter the past to save his girlfriend, who died in an accident thirty years prior.
Production
The film was directed by Hong Ji-young, who also contributed to the screenplay. Principal photography for the production commenced on March 22, 2016. The film was distributed by Lotte Entertainment and features a runtime of 111 minutes.
A "barrier-free" version of the film was produced to increase accessibility, featuring descriptive audio and subtitles for viewers who are hearing or visually impaired. Actress Chun Woo-hee provided the narration for this version.
