Wild Dogs (2014 Film)

Wild Dogs (Korean: 들개들; RR: Deulgaedeul) is a 2014 South Korean suspense-thriller film directed and written by Ha Won-Joon. The film stars Kim Jeong-Hoon as a struggling reporter who finds himself in a dangerous situation after traveling to a remote mountain village.

Plot

So Yoo-Joon (Kim Jeong-Hoon) is an aspiring reporter who currently works as a third-rate journalist. His personal life is marked by a gambling addiction and an extramarital affair with a married woman named Jung-In. When Jung-In attempts to end their relationship to reconcile with her husband, Yoo-Joon becomes obsessed with winning her back. He learns that her husband is staying in the remote mountain village of Osori to cover a story and decides to track him down.

Upon arriving in Osori, Yoo-Joon is unable to locate the husband, and local residents claim they have not seen him. When his car breaks down, he is forced to remain in the village, where he gradually uncovers a disturbing truth about the community.

Production

The film was produced by Golden Tide Pictures and directed by Ha Won-Joon. Principal photography commenced on February 20, 2013, in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, South Korea. The film was released in South Korea on January 23, 2014, with a runtime of 99 minutes.
