When the Weather Is Fine

When the Weather Is Fine (Korean: 날씨가 좋으면 찾아가겠어요) is a South Korean television series that aired on JTBC from February 24 to April 21, 2020. The drama is based on the 2018 novel Nalssiga Joeumyeon Chajagagesseoyo by author Lee Do-Woo. The series follows the story of Mok Hye-Won, a woman who returns to her hometown of Bukhyeon Village after becoming disillusioned with her life in Seoul, where she encounters her former high school classmate, Lim Eun-Seob, who operates a local bookshop.

Production

The series was directed by Han Ji-Seung with a screenplay adapted by Han Ga-Ram. The production held its first script reading in October 2019 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul. During its broadcast, the production schedule for episodes 5 and 6 was adjusted to March 16 and 17, 2020, as a precautionary measure to ensure a safe filming environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cast

The main cast features Park Min-Young as Mok Hye-Won and Seo Kang-Joon as Lim Eun-Seob. The supporting cast includes Moon Jeong-Hee, Jin Hee-Kyung, and Lee Jae-Wook.

Broadcast History

The series occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:30 time slot on JTBC. It followed the conclusion of Drama Festa: Hello Dracula and was succeeded by Recipe for Happiness in May 2020.
