What Comes After Love

What Comes After Love is a South Korean television drama series that premiered in 2024. The series is based on the 2005 novel Sarang Hooae Oneun Geoddeul, co-authored by South Korean writer Kong Ji-Young and Japanese writer Hitonari Tsuji. The drama was directed by Moon Hyun-Sung and released on the streaming platform Coupang Play.

Plot

The story follows Choi Hong (Lee Se-Young), a Korean student studying in Japan, and Jungo Aoki (Kentaro Sakaguchi), a Japanese man. The two fall in love, but their relationship eventually ends due to differing perspectives on love and various practical challenges. Five years later, their paths cross again in South Korea, leading to a reunion that explores the lingering emotions and consequences of their past relationship.

Production

The drama consists of six episodes and was broadcast from September 27 to October 25, 2024. The screenplay was developed by Jung Hae-Sim and director Moon Hyun-Sung, adapting the original source material published by Sodam Books.
