Wedding Impossible
Wedding Impossible (Korean: 웨딩 임파서블) is a South Korean television series that aired on tvN from February 26 to April 2, 2024. The drama consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 20:50 time slot. The series is based on the web novel of the same name written by Song Jung-won, which was published on Kakao from January 6 to August 15, 2017.
Plot
The story follows Na A-jeong (played by Jun Jong-seo), a talented but struggling actress who frequently takes on minor roles, often portraying married women. Despite her professional experience, her personal life is stagnant. Her long-time friend, Lee Do-han (Kim Do-wan), is the son of a wealthy family managing the LJ Group. Facing immense pressure from his family to marry, Do-han approaches A-jeong with a proposal: to enter into a fake marriage to satisfy his family's expectations.
A-jeong agrees to the arrangement, viewing it as the most significant role of her career. However, the plan faces immediate opposition from Lee Ji-han (Moon Sang-min), Do-han's younger brother. Ji-han is determined to see his brother succeed as the heir to the LJ Group and views the sudden marriage announcement as a threat to his ambitions. He actively attempts to sabotage the union, even introducing Yoon Chae-won (Bae Yoon-kyoung) as a more suitable candidate for his brother.
Production
The series was directed by Kwon Young-il, with the screenplay written by Park Seul-ki and Oh Hye-won. It followed the conclusion of Marry My Husband in the tvN schedule and was succeeded by Lovely Runner on April 8, 2024.
