Watashi no Shiranai Watashi

Watashi no Shiranai Watashi (Japanese: 私の知らない私), known internationally as The Unknown Me, is a Japanese television drama series that aired from January 9 to March 20, 2025. The series was broadcast on NTV and YTV in the Thursday 23:59 time slot.

Plot

The story follows Mei Haneda (played by Karin Ono), who wakes up to discover she has lost all memory of the previous year. Her life has shifted significantly from the mundane existence she recalls. She finds herself engaged to Kanata Nishijima (Teppei Koike), a respected doctor, and discovers that her friend Midori Shinohara (Fumika Baba), whom she believed to be deceased, is alive. While initially confused by these developments, Mei begins to appreciate the happiness she previously longed for. However, she soon realizes that her current reality is built upon lies. As she begins to lose the people and things she holds dear, she becomes a suspect in a murder investigation, forcing her to uncover the truth about her missing year.
