Viral Hit, known in Japanese as Kenka Dokugaku (喧嘩独学), is a live-action streaming television drama series released on Netflix. Directed by Hideki Takeuchi with a screenplay by Yuichi Tokunaga, the series is adapted from the Korean webcomic of the same name.

Production Background and Source Material

The series is based on the webcomic Ssawoomdokhak, written by Park Tae-Jun and illustrated by Kim Jeong-Hyeon. The original webcomic was published on Naver from November 16, 2019, to February 24, 2024. The television adaptation consists of six episodes and was released on June 11, 2026.

Plot Synopsis

The story follows Kota Shimura, a high school student positioned at the bottom of his school hierarchy. Living in impoverished conditions with a sick mother, he faces regular targeting by bullies. A significant shift occurs when an accidental altercation with another student is broadcast live globally. The broadcast unexpected gains immense popularity, leading Kota to discover that fighting can generate financial revenue.
