Villain Is Alive (Korean: 악인은 살아 있다; RR: Akineun Sala Itda) is a 2015 South Korean thriller film directed by Kim Harry. The film explores themes of corruption, corporate scandal, and personal vengeance.

Plot

The narrative centers on a high-profile corruption and embezzlement scandal involving Baek Dong-Il, the president of Hanseung Venture Capital. The situation intensifies when Na Yoo-Mi, a high-ranking manager at the firm, is discovered dead at the base of a cliff. While authorities officially classify the incident as an accident or suicide, her husband, Han Byung-Do, suspects foul play linked to Baek Dong-Il. Driven by grief and suspicion, Han Byung-Do initiates a plan to exact revenge against the executive.

Simultaneously, Baek Dong-Il coordinates a smuggling operation with the assistance of Song Chan-Hyuk. Detective Kim Joo-Won conducts a clandestine investigation into the unfolding events, tracking both the criminal activities of the corporation and the vengeful actions of Han Byung-Do.
