Vigilante (South Korean Television Series)
Vigilante is a South Korean action-thriller television series that premiered on Disney+ in November 2023. The series consists of eight episodes and is based on the webcomic of the same name, written by CRG and illustrated by Kim Kyu-Sam, which was serialized on Naver between 2018 and 2021.
Plot
The story follows Kim Ji-Yong, a student at the police university who leads a double life. During the week, he is a model trainee, but on weekends, he acts as a vigilante, targeting criminals who have received lenient sentences and continue to engage in illegal activities. His actions draw the attention of various figures, including Jo Heon, a dedicated police investigation team leader, and Choi Mi-Ryeo, a reporter who tracks the vigilante's activities. Jo Gang-Ok, an admirer of the vigilante, also becomes involved in the unfolding events.
Production
The series was directed by Choi Jeong-Yeol. The cast features Nam Joo-Hyuk as the protagonist Kim Ji-Yong, alongside Yoo Ji-Tae as Jo Heon, Lee Jun-Hyuk as Jo Gang-Ok, and Kim So-Jin as Choi Mi-Ryeo.
