Vertigo (Korean: 버티고; RR: Beotigo) is a 2019 South Korean drama film written and directed by Jeon Kye-Su. The film explores themes of workplace instability, personal anxiety, and human connection within the modern urban environment.

Plot

The story follows Seo-Young, a woman in her 30s working as a contract employee at a firm. She struggles with the pressures of her professional life, including the uncertainty of her contract renewal, and a strained relationship with her boyfriend, Jin-Soo, who is a colleague at the same company. Amidst these stressors, Seo-Young begins to suffer from physical symptoms of vertigo and tinnitus. Her situation intensifies when Jin-Soo abruptly resigns. While looking out from her high-rise office window, she encounters Kwon-Woo, a window cleaner working on the building's exterior.

Awards

At the 41st Blue Dragon Film Awards held in 2021, actor Yoo Teo received the award for Best New Actor for his performance in the film.
