Vampire Prosecutor

Vampire Prosecutor (Korean: 뱀파이어 검사; RR: Baempaieo Geomsa) is a South Korean television crime drama series that aired on the cable network OCN. The series premiered on October 2, 2011, and concluded its 12-episode run on December 18, 2011.

Plot

The series follows Min Tae-yeon, a dedicated prosecutor who is bitten by an unknown assailant and transformed into a vampire. Despite his condition, Tae-yeon maintains his moral compass and continues his work as a prosecutor. To survive without harming the living, he consumes the blood of the deceased. He utilizes his newfound supernatural abilities, including the power to see the final moments of a victim's life through their blood, to solve complex criminal cases and pursue powerful individuals who believe they are above the law. The narrative deepens when he encounters evidence of other vampires, leading him to investigate the origins of his own transformation.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Byung-soo, with a screenplay written by Han Jung-hoon and Kang Eun-sun. It was broadcast on Sundays at 23:00 KST on OCN. The success of the first season led to a sequel, Vampire Prosecutor 2, which aired in 2012.
