Um Tae-Goo

Um Tae-Goo (born 1983) is a South Korean actor recognized for his diverse roles in both film and television. He is the younger brother of film director Uhm Tae-Hwa, with whom he has collaborated on several projects.

Career

Um began his acting career in the late 2000s, appearing in various supporting roles in films such as The Epitaph (2007) and I Saw the Devil (2010). He gained wider recognition for his performance in the 2016 film The Age of Shadows, where he portrayed the character Hashimoto. His filmography includes a range of genres, from crime dramas like Coin Locker Girl (2015) to the action-oriented Night in Paradise (2021), in which he played the lead role of Park Tae-Gu.

In television, Um has appeared in numerous series, including Save Me 2 (2019) and Hometown (2021). In 2024, he starred in the romantic comedy series My Sweet Mobster as Seo Ji-Hwan, which marked a notable shift in his typical character archetypes.
