Ugly Alert

Ugly Alert (Korean: 못난이 주의보; RR: Motnani Joouibo) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from May 20 to November 29, 2013. The series was broadcast in the Monday to Friday 19:15 time slot. It replaced The Birth of a Family and was succeeded by One Well-Raised Daughter on December 2, 2013. The drama was originally developed under the working title Bravo My Life.

Plot

The series explores the complex dynamics of a family formed through unconventional circumstances. As the characters navigate their relationships, they must overcome internal conflicts, jealousy, and past wounds. A central theme of the narrative is the profound personal sacrifice made by the protagonist, Kong Joon-Soo, as he strives to protect and support his family members.

Production and Reception

Ugly Alert marked the first acting project for Lim Ju-Hwan following his discharge from mandatory military service in South Korea. At the 2013 SBS Drama Awards, Lim Ju-Hwan and Kang So-Ra were both recipients of the New Star Award.
