Uchi no Bengoshi wa Te ga Kakaru

Uchi no Bengoshi wa Te ga Kakaru (Japanese: うちの弁護士は手がかかる) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from October 13 to December 22, 2023. The series consists of 11 episodes and follows the professional transition of a veteran talent manager into the legal field.

Plot

Ben Kuramae, played by Tsuyoshi Muro, has spent three decades working as the manager for the prominent actress Rino Kasahara. His dedication to her career, which included managing her schedule, promotions, and personal affairs, was instrumental in maintaining her status as a top-tier performer. Their shared ambition was to expand her career into international markets.

The dynamic changes abruptly when Rino Kasahara fires Kuramae, claiming his role is easily replaceable. Having sacrificed his personal life and social connections for his career, Kuramae finds himself adrift. He eventually begins a new chapter as a paralegal for An Amano, a rookie attorney portrayed by Yurina Hirate. Although Amano is exceptionally intelligent and achieved the distinction of being the youngest person to pass the bar exam, she struggles with client communication and case management. Kuramae uses his extensive experience in talent management to provide the support Amano needs to succeed in her legal career.
