Two Cops (South Korean Television Series)

Two Cops (Korean: 투깝스; RR: Tookkabseu) is a South Korean television series that aired on the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) network. The series, which blends elements of fantasy and crime procedural, ran for 32 episodes from November 27, 2017, to January 16, 2018. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The narrative follows Cha Dong-Tak, a dedicated detective known for his pursuit of justice. The plot takes a supernatural turn when the spirit of a swindler, Gong Soo-Chang, comes to possess his body. The two characters, despite their conflicting personalities and backgrounds, are forced to cooperate to solve criminal cases. As the story progresses, Cha Dong-Tak becomes involved in a romantic relationship with a reporter named Song Ji-An.

Production

The series was directed by Oh Hyun-Jong with a screenplay written by Byun Sang-Soon. The initial script reading for the production took place in late September 2017 at the MBC Dream Center located in Ilsan, South Korea. The role of the female lead was originally offered to actress Han Ji-Min, who ultimately declined the offer.
