Twinkling Watermelon

Twinkling Watermelon (Korean: 반짝이는 워터멜론) is a South Korean fantasy drama series that aired on the cable network tvN from September 25 to November 14, 2023. The series consists of 16 episodes and was directed by Son Jung-Hyun with a screenplay written by Jin Soo-Wan.

Plot

The story centers on Ha Eun-Gyeol, a high school student born to hearing-impaired parents. Despite the challenges he faces, Eun-Gyeol possesses a natural talent for music and leads a double life: a diligent student by day and a guitarist in a band by night. His life takes a supernatural turn when he visits a mysterious musical instrument store and is transported back in time. In this past setting, he encounters his parents as teenagers, including his father, Ha Yi-Chan, and forms a musical group named Watermelon Sugar. The narrative explores themes of family, communication, and the pursuit of dreams.
