Tunnel (2016 South Korean Film)
Tunnel (Korean: 터널; RR: Teoneol) is a 2016 South Korean disaster film directed by Kim Sung-Hoon. The film is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by author So Jae-Won. It was released in South Korea on August 10, 2016, and distributed by Showbox.

Plot
The story follows Lee Jung-Soo, an ordinary man who is driving home to celebrate his daughter's birthday. While traveling through a mountain tunnel, the structure suffers a catastrophic collapse, burying his car under thousands of tons of concrete and debris. Trapped in the wreckage, Lee Jung-Soo must rely on his limited resources—a cellphone, two bottles of water, and his daughter's birthday cake—to survive while rescue efforts are organized outside.
Production and Cast
The film was directed by Kim Sung-Hoon, who also contributed to the screenplay. The production team included producers Lee Taek-Dong, Jang Won-Suk, Kim A-Ran, Lee Dong-Yoon, and Yoo Jae-Hwan, with cinematography by Hong Seung-Hyuk.
