Tsuka no Ma no Ichika
Tsuka no Ma no Ichika is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NTV from October 17 to December 19, 2022. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in the Monday 24:59 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Ichika Sendawara, a university student who was diagnosed with a terminal illness during her second year of high school and given a two-year life expectancy. Having outlived that prognosis, she lives each day with uncertainty. She becomes drawn to the philosophy lectures of Akifumi Yurugi, a professor who frequently discusses the meaning and value of life. As the two grow closer, Yurugi abruptly resigns from his position and disappears, leading to an unexpected reunion that challenges their relationship.
Production
The drama is based on the manga series of the same name by Natsu Tadano, which was serialized by Kodansha from April to August 2021. The television adaptation was directed by Masaki Hayashi and Syunpei Maruya, with screenplays written by Masako Imai and Mie Tomiyasu.
