Trolley (South Korean Television Series)

Trolley is a South Korean television series that aired on SBS from December 19, 2022, to February 14, 2023. The drama follows the lives of a married couple, Nam Joong-do and Kim Hye-joo, whose quiet existence is disrupted when a long-held secret is suddenly exposed to the public.

Plot Synopsis

Nam Joong-do (Park Hee-soon) is a member of the National Assembly dedicated to social reform. His wife, Kim Hye-joo (Kim Hyun-joo), operates a book repair shop and intentionally maintains a low profile, avoiding the media attention that often accompanies her husband's political career. The narrative centers on the conflict that arises when a past secret belonging to Hye-joo is revealed, threatening their family life and Joong-do's political reputation.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Moon-kyo and written by Ryu Bo-ri. It occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot on SBS. During the production phase, actress Kim Sae-ron was initially cast to play the character Kim Soo-bin but withdrew from the project following a single-vehicle accident and subsequent legal issues related to driving under the influence. She did not film any scenes for the series.

Broadcast Schedule

The series consisted of 16 episodes. Due to the Lunar New Year holiday, the broadcast of episodes 11 and 12 was rescheduled from January 23–24, 2023, to January 30–31, 2023.
