Trick (2016 South Korean Film)
Trick (Korean: 트릭) is a 2016 South Korean suspense-thriller film directed and written by Lee Chang-Yeol. The film examines the ethical boundaries of television production and the lengths to which individuals may go to achieve professional success.

Plot
The narrative follows Lee Suk-Jin (Lee Jung-Jin), a television producer whose career suffered a significant setback after he was involved in broadcasting a false report regarding unsanitary food practices. Years later, he attempts a professional comeback within the cultural division of a broadcasting network. The station's CEO offers him a promotion to director on the condition that he produces a high-rated documentary featuring a terminally ill man, Kim Do-Joon (Kim Tae-Hoon), and his wife, Choi Young-Ae (Gang Ye-Won). As the production progresses, the pursuit of ratings leads to increasingly manipulative and unethical behavior.
Production
The film was produced by Han Sung-Hoon and Kim Dong-Gyoon, with cinematography by Kim Hoon-Kwang. Principal photography for Trick commenced on December 7, 2015, and concluded on January 5, 2016. The film was distributed by Storm Pictures and released in South Korea on July 14, 2016, with a runtime of 94 minutes.
