Toshio Tsuboi

Toshio Tsuboi (Japanese: 坪井敏雄) is a Japanese television director and production figure primarily associated with the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS).

Career

Tsuboi has built an extensive portfolio directing numerous television drama series, predominantly broadcast by TBS. His career spans multiple decades, encompassing romantic comedies, family dramas, mystery series, and adaptations of manga or original scripts.

Among his early notable credits as a director is the 2003 series Manhattan Love Story. He later directed segments of major mainstream projects, including Boys Over Flowers 2 in 2007 and served as an assistant director on the theatrical feature film Boys Over Flowers: Final in 2008.

Throughout the 2010s and 2020s, Tsuboi maintained a steady output of high-profile network dramas.
