Top Star Yoo-Baek
Top Star Yoo-Baek (Korean: 톱스타 유백이) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN from November 16, 2018, to January 25, 2019. The series follows the story of a former idol and popular actor who, after becoming embroiled in a major scandal, seeks refuge on a remote island.
Plot
Yoo Baek is a self-centered and blunt celebrity whose behavior frequently lands him in trouble. Following a significant public incident, he travels to a secluded island to escape the spotlight. There, he encounters the island's residents, including Oh Kang-Soon, a physically strong woman who manages a local supermarket and works as a diver harvesting seafood such as abalone and sea mustard.
Production
The series was directed by Yoo Hak-Chan and written by Lee So-Jung and Lee Si-Eun. The production held its first script reading on September 5, 2018. The show occupied the Friday 23:00 time slot on tvN, succeeding Big Forest and preceding the seventeenth season of Ugly Young-A.
