Tone Deaf Clinic (2012 Film)

Tone Deaf Clinic (Korean: 음치 클리닉; RR: Umchi Keulreonik) is a 2012 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Kim Jin-Young. The film explores the story of Dong-Joo, a woman who is tone-deaf and seeks to improve her singing abilities to impress a man she has a crush on. She eventually crosses paths with Shin-Heung, an instructor at a clinic for the tone-deaf, who begins to develop feelings for her.

Production

Principal photography for the film commenced on May 3, 2012, and concluded on July 26, 2012. The final scene recorded featured the first meeting between the lead characters, Dong-Joo and Shin-Heung, at a subway station in the Gangnam district of Seoul. In this scene, Dong-Joo, the daughter of a restaurant owner, and Shin-Heung encounter one another while posting advertisements for their respective interests, leading to a brief struggle.
