Today's Webtoon (Korean: 오늘의 웹툰; RR: Oneului Webtoon) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from July 29 to September 17, 2022. The series consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast in the Friday and Saturday 22:00 time slot.

Background and Production

The series is based on the Japanese manga series Juhan Shuttai!, written and illustrated by Naoko Matsuda. The original manga began serialization in November 2011 in the monthly Japanese seinen magazine Monthly Big Comic Spirits. The South Korean adaptation explores the professional and personal challenges faced by employees in the webtoon industry.

Plot

The story follows On Ma-Eum (played by Kim Se-Jeong), a former judo athlete whose professional sports career is cut short due to an injury. Transitioning into a new career path, she secures a position in a webtoon editorial department. The narrative focuses on her efforts to adapt to the corporate environment and her growth as a professional editor while navigating the complexities of the webtoon industry.
