Time (2006 South Korean Film)
Time (Korean: 시간; RR: Sigan) is a 2006 South Korean drama film written and directed by Kim Ki-duk. The film examines the psychological toll of insecurity and the extreme measures taken to preserve a romantic relationship in the face of perceived stagnation.

Plot
The story follows Sae-hee (played by Park Ji-yeon) and Ji-woo (Ha Jung-woo), a couple who have been together for two years. Sae-hee becomes increasingly consumed by the fear that Ji-woo is losing interest in her, interpreting his natural curiosity toward others as a sign of impending abandonment. Driven by intense jealousy and a desire to remain "new" to her partner, she abruptly disappears and undergoes radical cosmetic surgery to change her appearance.
After recovering, she re-enters Ji-woo's life under a new identity, hoping to win him over again. Ji-woo finds himself attracted to this new woman (played by Sung Hyun-ah), which inadvertently deepens Sae-hee's internal conflict and self-loathing. The narrative explores the paradox of his affection: while he may love the new version of her, the situation forces both characters into a cycle of deception and emotional instability.

Production
Directed by Kim Ki-duk, the film was produced on a budget of approximately US$1 million. The production features a central cast including Sung Hyun-ah, Ha Jung-woo, Park Ji-yeon, and Kim Sung-min. The cinematography was handled by Sung Jong-mu.
