This Is Law (Korean: 이것이 법이다; RR: Igeoshi beobida), also known as Out of Justice, is a South Korean action-thriller film released on December 21, 2001. The film was written and directed by Min Byung-Jin.
Plot
The narrative centers on a mysterious vigilante known as "Dr. Q," who targets and executes criminals who have escaped legal punishment due to procedural loopholes. These acts of violence are recorded and subsequently uploaded to the internet. The investigation into these killings involves a pair of detectives, the impulsive Bong and his veteran partner Na, who are tasked with collaborating with the Special Task Force (S.T.F.). The investigation is complicated by internal tensions within the S.T.F., specifically involving Lieutenant Pyo and a computer specialist named Kang. As the investigation progresses, the detectives uncover evidence suggesting the involvement of a clandestine group known as The Ilsim Ring, which is allegedly composed of high-ranking law enforcement officials.
