The Youth in Bare Foot (Korean: 맨발의 청춘; RR: Maenbalui Cheongjun) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the MBC network. The series consists of 63 episodes and was broadcast from October 2 to December 30, 2005.
Plot
The story follows Uhm Ki-suk, a young man who works as a boxer to support his family. His life takes a difficult turn when he is diagnosed with a heart condition, forcing him to abandon his boxing career. As he struggles to find a new path and provide for his family, he encounters Na Kyung-joo, a woman with ambitions of becoming a home shopping host. Their lives become intertwined following a chance meeting at a subway station. The narrative explores their developing relationship amidst personal challenges, family responsibilities, and the arrival of other characters, including Min Hee-jung and Hwang Joon-hyuk, who further complicate their lives.
