The World of Silence (Korean: 조용한 세상; RR: Joyonghan Sesang) is a 2006 South Korean suspense-thriller film directed by Cho Ui-Seok. The film explores themes of trauma and mystery, centered on a photographer who possesses the ability to perceive the thoughts of others.

Plot
The story follows Ryoo Jung-Ho (Kim Sang-Kyung), a professional photographer who returns to South Korea after living abroad. Jung-Ho is haunted by the suicide of his former girlfriend, an event he witnessed firsthand. While struggling with his past, he becomes the temporary guardian of a young girl named Park Soo-Yeon (Han Bo-Bae), whose mother is in a coma. As mysterious and violent events begin to occur around him, Detective Kim (Park Yong-Woo) suspects that Jung-Ho is involved. The situation intensifies when Soo-Yeon goes missing.

Production
The film was directed by Cho Ui-Seok, who also contributed to the screenplay alongside Jung Jae-Ho, Han Jin, and Jung Eui-Mok. It was produced by Han Jin and Lee Seung-Jae, with cinematography by Choi Mang-Muk. The film was released in South Korea on December 14, 2006, with a runtime of 107 minutes.
