The World of Love (Korean: 세계의 주인; RR: Sekyeui Juin) is a 2025 South Korean drama film directed and written by Yoon Ga-Eun. The film explores the complex social dynamics within a high school setting, centered on the character of Ju-In, a class president whose refusal to sign a student-led petition leads to escalating conflict.
Plot
Ju-In (played by Seo Su-Bin) is an 18-year-old high school student and class president. When her classmate, Su-Ho, initiates a school-wide petition, Ju-In disagrees with its contents and refuses to participate. Her refusal sparks a confrontation with Su-Ho, which eventually devolves into a heated verbal argument. During the conflict, Ju-In makes a remark that causes widespread turmoil among her peers. The situation further intensifies when she begins receiving anonymous, mysterious notes.
Production
The film was produced by Kim Se-Hun and distributed by Barunson E&A. Principal photography for the project commenced in September 2024 and concluded in November 2024.
