The Winter of the Year was Warm (Korean: 내가 고백을 하면; RR: Naega Gobaekeul Hamyeon) is a 2012 South Korean drama film written and directed by Cho Sung-kyu. The film explores themes of urban escapism and personal connection through the lives of two protagonists who trade living spaces between Seoul and the coastal city of Gangneung.

Plot
The story follows In-sung, a film director based in Seoul who seeks respite from his demanding professional life by traveling to Gangneung on weekends. Simultaneously, Yoo-jung, a home health nurse living in Gangneung, travels to Seoul during her time off to experience the capital's cultural offerings. Their paths cross through a mutual acquaintance who owns a coffee shop in Gangneung. This encounter leads to an arrangement where the two decide to swap their homes on weekends, allowing each to inhabit the other's environment.


Production and Release
The film was produced by Jo Eun-yoon, Choi Yong-rak, and director Cho Sung-kyu. It features cinematography by Lee Hee-sub. The film had its world premiere at the 17th Busan International Film Festival on October 6, 2012, as part of the Korean Cinema Today - Panorama section. It was subsequently released in South Korean theaters on November 15, 2012, by distributor Mines Entertainment.
