The Wig (2005 Film)

The Wig (Korean: 가발; RR: Gabal) is a 2005 South Korean horror film directed by Won Shin-Yeon. The film explores themes of possession and transformation through the story of a terminally ill woman who experiences unsettling changes after wearing a mysterious wig.

Plot

Soo-Hyun (Chae Min-Seo) is a cancer patient struggling with her health. Her sister, Ji-Hyun (Yoo-Sun), gifts her a long, black wig. Upon wearing the hairpiece, Soo-Hyun undergoes a sudden and dramatic transformation, appearing to regain her vitality and strength. However, as Soo-Hyun's personality and physical state shift, Ji-Hyun becomes increasingly concerned by the mysterious and malevolent power that seems to accompany the wig.
