The Weird Missing Case of Mr. J (Korean: 정승필 실종사건; RR: Jeong Seung Pil Siljong Sageon) is a 2009 South Korean detective-comedy film directed by Kang Seok-Beom. The film follows the investigation into the sudden disappearance of a prominent fund manager.

Plot
The story centers on Jeong Seung-Pil (played by Lee Beom-Soo), a successful fund manager overseeing 50 billion won in assets. When he mysteriously vanishes, his fiancée, Yu Mi-Seon (Kim Gyu-Ri), reports him missing. The investigation is led by an aggressive detective named Inspector Kim (Son Chang-Min), who quickly turns his suspicion toward Mi-Seon, noting that she had taken out an insurance policy on Seung-Pil shortly before his disappearance. As the case gains national media attention, the investigation becomes increasingly chaotic.
Production and Release
The film was originally developed under the working title They're Coming (Keudeli Eunda). It held its world premiere as the closing film of the 3rd Chungmuro International Film Festival in Seoul (CHIFFS) on September 1, 2009. The film was released theatrically in South Korea on October 8, 2009.

Reception
During its opening weekend (October 9–11, 2009), the film debuted at number three at the South Korean box office. It sold 148,188 tickets across 293 screens, accounting for approximately 14% of total ticket sales for that period. Throughout its theatrical run, the film sold a total of 322,976 tickets and maintained a position in the weekend top-ten chart for two consecutive weeks.
