The Veil (South Korean TV Series)

The Veil (Korean: 검은 태양; RR: Geomeun Taeyang) is a South Korean action-thriller television series that aired on MBC in 2021. Directed by Kim Sung-Yong and written by Park Seok-Ho, the series follows the story of a high-ranking intelligence agent navigating internal conspiracies.

Plot

Han Ji-Hyuk, portrayed by Namkoong Min, is an elite agent at the National Intelligence Service (NIS). After a mission goes wrong and results in a crisis for the agency, he goes missing. One year later, he returns to the NIS with the singular goal of uncovering the identity of the traitor responsible for his downfall.

Production and Release

The series consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast on MBC on Fridays and Saturdays at 22:00, from September 17 to October 23, 2021. Following the conclusion of the main series, a spin-off titled Moebius: The Veil was released on October 29, 2021.
