The Vanished (2018 Film)

The Vanished (Korean: 사라진 밤; RR: Sarajin Bam) is a 2018 South Korean thriller film directed by Lee Chang-Hee. The film, which explores a tense investigation following a mysterious disappearance, was released in South Korea on March 7, 2018.

Plot

The story begins when the body of Yoon Seol-Hee disappears from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. Detective Woo Joong-Sik is tasked with investigating the incident. As the investigation unfolds, the victim's husband, Park Jin-Han, insists that his wife is still alive, leading to a complex psychological conflict between the detective and the husband.

Production

The film was directed by Lee Chang-Hee, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Lee Hee-Chan. Principal photography for the project commenced on June 12, 2017, and concluded on August 31, 2017. The film has a runtime of 101 minutes and was distributed by Kidari Ent.
