The Uncanny Counter 2: Counterpunch

The Uncanny Counter 2: Counterpunch (Korean: 경이로운 소문 2: 카운터 펀치) is a South Korean television series that aired on tvN from July 29 to September 3, 2023. It serves as the sequel to the 2020–2021 series The Uncanny Counter. The show is based on the webcomic Kyeongirowoon Somoon, written by Jang Yi and originally published via Daum Webtoon starting in 2018.

The series follows a group of individuals known as "Counters" who possess supernatural abilities and work to hunt down evil spirits that have escaped the afterlife to prey on humans. The second season continues the narrative established in the first, featuring the return of the core cast while introducing new characters and antagonists.

Production and Broadcast

Directed by Yoo Sun-Dong, the series consists of 12 episodes. It occupied the Saturday and Sunday 21:20 time slot on the network tvN. It followed the conclusion of See You in My 19th Life and was succeeded by Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun on September 9, 2023.

Cast

The series features the returning main cast from the first season, including Joe Byeong-Gyu as So Mun, Yu Jun-Sang as Ga Mo-Tak, Kim Se-Jeong as Do Ha-Na, Yum Hye-Ran as Chu Mae-Ok, and Ahn Suk-Hwan as Choi Jang-Mul. New additions to the cast include Yoo In-Soo, who portrays the character Na Jeok-Bong.
