The Travel Nurse is a Japanese television drama series that aired on TV Asahi in 2024. It serves as a continuation of the narrative established in the 2022 series of the same name. The show follows the professional and personal lives of travel nurses Ayumi Nasuda and Shizuka Kuki.
Plot
Following his work in New York, where he assisted in the treatment of Shizuka Kuki, Ayumi Nasuda returns to Japan to begin a new position at Nishitokyo General Hospital. During his journey, he encounters a man who collapses at a rice ball shop. Nasuda provides emergency aid, only to discover the man is Ootaguro, the former director of Nishitokyo General Hospital who was dismissed due to professional misconduct. The series explores the interactions between the medical staff and the complex dynamics within the hospital, while reuniting Nasuda with Kuki.
