The Three Musketeers (Korean: 삼총사; RR: Samchongsa) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the cable network tvN in 2014. Set during the Joseon Dynasty, the series serves as a historical reimagining inspired by the 1844 novel of the same name by Alexandre Dumas.
Production and Development
The series was directed by Kim Byung-Soo and written by Song Jae-Jung. The production team, including the director and screenwriter, had previously collaborated on the tvN drama Nine: 9 Times Time Travel. The project was notable for being the first tvN drama series to be scheduled for a Sunday broadcast. Initial planning for the production included a structure of three seasons, with each season consisting of 12 episodes. The script reading for the series took place on June 24, 2014, at the CJ E&M Center in Seoul, with filming commencing on July 1, 2014.

Plot
The narrative is set in the Joseon Dynasty and follows the life of Park Dal-Hyang, a man preparing for his military examinations. His path crosses with Crown Prince Sohyeon and his two loyal warriors, Heo Seung-Po and An Min-Seo, drawing him into a complex web of political intrigue and historical conflict.
