The Thousandth Man
The Thousandth Man (Korean: 천번째 남자; RR: Chunbunzzae Namja) is a South Korean fantasy television drama that aired on MBC in 2012. The series explores the folklore of the gumiho, a mythical nine-tailed fox, through a contemporary narrative.

Plot
The story follows Koo Mi-Jin, a gumiho who has consumed the livers of 999 men in her quest to become human. To complete her transformation, she must consume one final liver within three months; otherwise, she will vanish. Complicating her mission is her personal code: she only targets men with whom she has fallen in love. Her mother and younger sister, Mi-Mo, have already successfully completed this transition.
During a flight to South Korea, Mi-Jin encounters a passenger named Kim Eung-Suk. She notices that he bears a striking resemblance to a past lover who sacrificed his life for her. Their paths cross again later at a restaurant owned by Eung-Suk.
Production
The series was directed by Kang Cheol-Woo and Choi Hwa-Jin, with a screenplay written by Kim Kyun-Tae. Filming for the production commenced on July 3, 2012, in Seoul, South Korea. The drama consists of eight episodes and was broadcast on MBC from August 17, 2012, to October 12, 2012.
